The Learning Curve for Architectural Education in Virtual Worlds

10 May 2009 4 Comments

On Friday, May 22nd at 11am PDT (18.00 GMT), we will be hosting a discussion on Architecture Island in Second Life, called “The Learning Curve for Architectural Education in Virtual Worlds” as part of this year’s WIAOC 2009 conference this SLurl. (note: if you don’t have an account, click  this link, then click ‘Sign Up’ in the upper right corner.  After you set up your account, you will be automatically teleported to the site where this discussion will be held.)

There has been a sharp rise in the use of virtual worlds in architectural education during the past several months, and there is a lot we can learn from each other.  What’s working?  What’s not working?  How do we motivate students?

In the meantime, I hope you will consider sharing any thoughts, observations, ideas, case studies or precedents pertaining to architectural education in virtual worlds on the ARCHwiki page HERE. I’ll post a transcript and discussion notes there after the conference.

Send questions to info@archvirtual.com or IM Keystone Bouchard in Second Life.
