Jon Brouchoud, M. Arch – Founder (resume)

Jon Brouchoud is a freelance designer, co-founder of Studio Wikitecture, and founder of ARCH Virtual.  He holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and his independent design credits include the Gallery of Reflexive Architecture, Architecture Islands, and the award-winning Wikisonic installation at The Tech Museum in San Jose.  While working with Berkeley-based Clear Ink, he worked extensively on Autodesk Island, the virtual U.S. House of Representatives, Linden Lab’s Virtual Headquarters, TED Island, and recently completed design and construction of the new Metanomics event space for Remedy Communications.

Brouchoud first started using virtual worlds in 2006, as part of his professional home design practice, Crescendo Design.  He has since strategized many applications for virtual worlds in real-world business and organizations.  His success now spans projects in education, healthcare, government, advertising, and private enterprise.  He is particularly interested in bringing virtual worlds to mainstream AEC industry, in an effort to enhance the professional practice of architecture, improve the quality of the built environment, and offer new ways of dramatically augmenting design collaboration methodologies.
