POSITION 1: 3D MODELER 

We are looking to fill as-needed freelance positions that will grow into full-time positions upon successful completion of several projects.  Applicants must be able to model low-poly geometry in Maya, 3DS or equivalent (must export to FBX with textures) by using architectural drawings as a template.

Tasks would include taking a typical .pdf set of architectural drawings, importing and scaling those drawings in Autodesk Maya, 3DS or equivalent, then building geometry (walls, windows, doors, etc.) using the drawings as a template. Must be able to read architectural blueprints, and be able to align and reference section, elevation and detail drawings in order to create a very accurate 3D model based on the architectural drawings.

The models would need to be combined on a per-floor, per-material basis, such that all wood flooring on the first floor is one combined mesh, all interior drywall on the 2nd floor is another combined mesh, etc. All unseen geometry must be deleted to reduce polygon count. Those meshes would then need to be UV unwrapped in preparation for lightmapping. Setting up and baking lights is not a requirement of this position, but would be ideal for future projects.

This would start on an as-needed, remote basis, using your own computer and software, with weekly 1-hour production review meetings held online. Candidate must be self-motivated and responsive.

Please reply with your hourly rate and portfolio samples.  We will only consider candidate who send portfolio examples that demonstrate an ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Sending a resume and/or references is a plus. Unity3D experience is also a plus.

POSITION 2: UNITY 3D GURU

We are looking to fill as-needed freelance positions that will grow into full-time positions upon successful completion of several projects.  Applicant must be able to import 3D architectural geometry into a Unity scene, set up material shaders, terrain, trees, skyboxes, occlusion culling, etc. and be able to set up basic scripts and interface elements (these will already be pre-designed and programmed – applicant needs only to import, apply and configure scripts to various gameobjects).

Knowledge of C# programming and NGUI is a plus, but not a requirement.  Please reply with your hourly rate and portfolio samples.  We will only consider candidate who send portfolio examples that demonstrate a knowledge of Unity3D staging and publishing.
