This pilot study was conducted to evaluate feasibility and effectiveness of contemporary immersive virtual reality simulation (CIVRS)
Key takeaways:
VR simulation was on par if not better than what we would expect in a traditional teaching lab environment, where we have a single faculty with 8 students and they’re teaching it face to face.
Faculty that took the VR training overwhelmingly felt it was a highly effective as a very valuable teaching tool. A large portion of them felt that this is something they should invest in at their institution.
Almost no cyber sickness reported in the survey.
They asked learners if they felt VR training was valuable tool. A plurality of young learners said this was a great tool we should invest in it, and they would use it more often.
